I feel like this is one huge challenge with a lot of new writers on the platform.

We quickly join this bulk of publications and when we want to hit publish, it's a whole ass confusion of which publication should the article go in.

For me, slowly but surely I'm getting to a point where I'm beginning to understand the voice, tone, audience of each publication.

Painfully, I guess that's the only way to find out because some of these publications are so full of articles that scrolling through to vet what the pub is about feels like a 9 to 5.

So, sometimes it takes posting a couple of articles on the publication to figure out what strikes a bone.
