Imagine what would happen if we never had the control Z shortcut. Imagine how many ideas would be lost in the world. Imagine how many thoughts would disappear right before our eyes. Imagine how painful it would look like having written those beautiful words and only for you to mistakenly hit the backspace.

I think it’s the single best thing to happen to humanity after washing machine. But then it’s arguable, right? Because perhaps most of us would have ended our writing career long before we even started. Because imagine having all your ideas wiped out right in front of you with no way to retrieve it.

What does this mean to us?

Reality check: We can’t undo that failed relationship or undo how we treated a friend badly or undo how breaking that plate or undo an accident or undo having pizza and burgers last night (although we can undo that with working out) but most things in life we can’t undo our way through.

The CTRL + Z gives us an illusion that we can get away with anything we want and just UNDO it later.
